David grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland and moved to Canada to serve in missions in 2008. He spent eight years working with at-risk youth and their families before joining Light Patrol. As Light Patrol Associate David hopes to use the gifts God has given him to help lead, serve and care for the Light Patrol team as together they seek to minister to Toronto’s homeless who are often forgotten. David is married to Emma who also works with some of Toronto’s most vulnerable people.
Faye recently retired from the Financial Industry after many years and brings to Light Patrol strong administrative and organizational skills. Her desire, with God’s leading, is to assist the Light Patrol Team in many ways that will help to support and promote their work with the homeless and street involved youth. She is very thankful to be able to work with this great ministry and team.
Nicholas’ compassion for those in poverty led him to pursue a degree in Social Work and minister to children and youth living in community housing. His own heart grew as he learned about each person’s difficult stories. Recently God brought Nicholas to Youth Unlimited where he now seeks to serve the homeless youth of Toronto. He hopes to share God’s love and peace so that the youth know it in their hearts.
Since 2000, Rebecca has worked with at-risk youth voluntarily and in employment. She will use the experience she has gained from her education as a Social Service Worker and her past roles as a child & youth worker in various capacities to be Light Patrol’s new Volunteer Coordinator. Rebecca will train, support and join our many volunteers in front line ministry. She is married with three lovely kids.
Youth Transition Coordinator
As Transition Coordinator for Light Patrol, Matt works to support street-involved youth as they transition off of the streets. His desire is to show the love and grace of Christ to these youth, helping them to encounter the God who is “not far from any of us” (Acts 17:27). Matt recently married his beautiful wife. They enjoy sugary treats, board games, and laughing, all of which usually happen together.
Youth Outreach Worker
Bianca has worked for Youth Unlimited since 2014. She facilitated service trips for young people in downtown Toronto with Project Serve and became very aware of the deep, complex realities of people who are experiencing extreme poverty & homelessness. With a dream to help youth on the streets experience home, peace and refuge, Bianca recently joined Light Patrol as a Youth Worker. She joins Jessica in connecting with youth, specifically through our new hospitality initiative, Lighthouse.

Jessica will be working intentionally to provide youth with opportunities for change, growth and transition from street life. God has been so faithful in leading her to this mission. She is excited to be a part of this work in Toronto!
